Thank you for using FaceSnap. Please read the following Terms carefully before using the Service.
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Terms is to set out the conditions and procedures for using the facial asymmetry biomechanics analysis and related supplementary features provided by FaceSnap (hereinafter the "Service"), as well as the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between users and the Service.
Article 2 (Nature of the Service — Not a Medical Practice or Medical Device)
This Service is a wellness (self-care) information service designed to help with facial balance and lifestyle management, and is not a medical device. The exercise and lifestyle information provided by the Service is likewise not a medical prescription.
All analysis results provided by this Service are structural-biomechanical "estimated information" based on the uploaded photo, and do not constitute diagnosis, examination, treatment, or medical advice under medical law.
Analysis results are for reference only and may not be used as a basis for diagnosing or treating any disease. If you have symptoms such as pain or functional impairment, please be sure to consult a qualified medical professional, such as a physician or dentist.
Article 3 (Users' Provision of Photos and Information)
For analysis, users provide a front-facing facial photo along with their year of birth and sex. Users may upload their own photo, or another person's photo only where they have obtained lawful consent from the person shown in it.
All legal liability arising from uploading another person's photo without their consent rests with the user who uploaded it.
The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over. Persons under the age of 18 may not use the Service.
Article 4 (Storage and Sharing of Analysis Results)
Once analysis is complete, a result report is generated and can be viewed and shared via a unique link. Anyone who knows the link can view the report, so please be careful when sharing it.
When signed in, reports you create are linked to that account and can be viewed again in My Reports.
Article 5 (Booking Feature)
The Service may offer a feature for booking consultations with partner clinics. A booking is merely a request for a consultation and does not guarantee that any examination or procedure, or its outcome, will be confirmed.
Article 6 (Prohibited Conduct)
- Uploading another person's photo without their consent
- Presenting, displaying, or distributing the Service's analysis results in a way that misrepresents them as a medical diagnosis
- Using automated means to place excessive load on the Service or to circumvent usage limits
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to restricted areas, such as administrator sections
Article 7 (Usage Restrictions)
To ensure stable operation, the Service may limit the number of analyses and generations per IP address over a given period.
Article 8 (Limitation of Liability)
The Service does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of the analysis results, and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, is not liable for any damages arising from decisions or actions taken by users in reliance on those results.
We are exempt from liability for any interruption of the Service caused by reasons beyond our reasonable control, such as force majeure or failures of external AI or infrastructure providers.
Article 9 (Amendments to the Terms)
The Service may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law, and will announce any changes on the Service screen. Amended Terms take effect from the effective date stated in the announcement.
Article 10 (Purchase and refund of paid credits)
Users may purchase credits at the rates set by the Service, and one credit is used for each asymmetry analysis. Purchased credits are credited to the account immediately upon completion of payment and have no expiration date.
Users may request a refund for any unused credits among the credits they purchased. The refund amount will be calculated by multiplying the payment unit price per credit for the applicable payment by the number of unused credits, with any amount less than KRW 1 discarded.
Credits are deemed to be used in the order in which they were first granted. Credits provided free of charge through membership registration, events, promotion codes, or similar means are not eligible for refund.
Credits already used are deemed to constitute commencement of the provision of digital content, and withdrawal of the offer is restricted pursuant to Article 17(2) of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc. The Service will display this fact on the payment screen.
If an analysis is not completed for reasons attributable to the Service, the credit used will be restored automatically.
The method for requesting a refund and the processing procedure shall be as set forth in the 'Refund Policy'.
Even where the laws of your country of residence, such as in the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA), guarantee consumers a right of withdrawal (e.g., 14 days), unused credits may be refunded without time limit in accordance with the above criteria, and if you have not used a single credit, the full amount paid will be refunded. For credits already used, the provision of digital content is deemed to have begun at your request, and withdrawal is limited to the extent permitted by the applicable law. This provision does not limit any mandatory rights guaranteed by the laws of your country of residence.
Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms and your use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. In the event of a dispute arising in connection with your use of the Service, an action shall be brought before the competent court as determined under the Civil Procedure Act.
However, consumers residing outside the Republic of Korea retain any mandatory rights guaranteed by the consumer protection laws of their country of residence, and may bring an action before the courts of their country of residence where those laws so permit.
